Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, better known as Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to become a member of J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. The debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released via Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get notoriety. The album that she released as her debut studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music via the internet in 2012 when she dropped her first mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. The year 2014 saw her continue to make music available on the web, including her own launched single Bound. In 2015she sung in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album with the track Sweat It Out on July 21. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark. Then, later in the period, she released music that was circulating through Dreamville. On the 8th of December, it was revealed that she was signed to Dreamville Records. The singer appeared in the album collaboration Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21 the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening act in support of J. Cole on his track Change in the year 2017 and did a performance on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. She also appeared in the music videos Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus alongside Bas and her labelmates. The debut album of Ari Lennox Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The debut single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream hit stores on September 5, 2018 with the music video. In November, the singer released the singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. On November 13 two brand new singles, titled"No One and pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, the 26th of February in 2019, for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby performed together with Cole as part of the Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. The music video premiered on the 20th February of 2019 for the track. Within a week, the video had more than 3,000,000 views. She was the opening act for 6LACK on their From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
